Alfred Lloyd Curry

October 7, 1940 — October 8, 2025

Redbird

Alfred Lloyd Curry, known affectionately as Al, by those who loved him, passed away peacefully on the 8th of October 2025, in Redbird, Oklahoma, just one day after his 85th birthday. He was born on the 7th of October 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to parents Amos Curry and Hattie (Hall) Harris. Alfred's journey began in Redbird, alongside his many siblings. A loving place where he grew up, attended the First Baptist Church, graduated from high school and eventually say his last goodbye.

In 1983, Alfred married the love of his life, Ruby Jean (Hines) Curry. Their marriage was a testament to devotion and partnership, Ruby often saying that Al was her soulmate and best friend. Although the heartache of her passing in 2019 was profound, the memories they shared continue to bring warmth to all who knew them.

Throughout his working years, Alfred dedicated himself to Da/Pro Rubber in Tulsa, where he retired as a respected Machine Operator. His professionalism and skill were matched only by his humility and kindness.

One of Alfred's greatest pleasures was vegetable gardening. He found serenity in the slow rhythm of nature, nurturing plants from seedlings to harvest. The bounty from his garden not only nourished his body but also his spirit, and he delighted in sharing this abundance with neighbors and friends.

Alfred's legacy is carried on by his two sons, one daughter, many siblings, nieces and nephews, and countless other relatives and friends. Each person's life he touched, he enriched with his presence and his enduring smile. It is in the quiet moments—tending to a garden, sitting in a pew, or simply enjoying the company of loved ones—that we will remember Al the most. A man of simple pleasures, a man who understood the importance of love, faith, and family.
