Obituary

Amy Marie Foltz-Ramsey, 73, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away on August 26, 2026.

Amy was born on September 27, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, to Ben and Eilo Foltz. She grew up on a farm and, as a little girl, enjoyed working alongside her family, especially picking strawberries. In 1975, she married Gary Ramsey. In 1980, Amy and Gary moved from Ohio to Oklahoma with their two young sons. After arriving in Oklahoma, they welcomed another son and a daughter, and together they raised their family here.

Amy was a rock for many. She was a constant presence in the lives of her family, spending countless hours in the stands and on the sidelines cheering them on. She could be found at baseball games, football games, bike races, and dance recitals, cheering on the people she loved and celebrating their accomplishments.

Amy loved the things that made a house feel like home. She enjoyed sewing, watching HGTV, shopping, and decorating. She especially loved the holidays, decorating for each season and dressing in holiday-themed clothing. She had a wonderful appreciation for clothing, jewelry, accessories, and home décor, and she enjoyed expressing her creativity and personal style.

Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and worked for many years, including as a headhunter for Jean Kelly Personnel in Tulsa and later as a director at Children’s World childcare center.

Later in life, Amy enjoyed playing Bunco, cooking with her grandchildren, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She treasured the time spent with her family and the memories made together.

Amy is survived by her children, Ryan Ramsey and wife Elizabeth, Kirk Ramsey and girlfriend Stephenie May, and Ashlie Burgess and husband Kraig; her grandchildren, Kirstyn, Genesis, Grant, Lauren, Baylee, Christopher, Brayden, Alexandria, and Nathanael; and several great-grandchildren.

Amy is preceded in death by parents Ben and Eilo Foltz, her brother Timothy Foltz, and her son Nicholas Ramsey.

She will be remembered for the countless moments she spent cheering on the people she loved. Her family will carry those memories with them always.
