Redbird

Angela “Angie” Robin Scarborough, age 53, of Redbird, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Angie was born on December 24, 1972, in Rome, Georgia, to Gary Akins and Bonnie Davis. She attended Coweta schools and built a life centered around her family, her work, and caring for others.

Angie worked as a real estate agent and proudly owned and operated Aunt Mary’s Embroidery in Coweta. She poured her creativity, dedication, and heart into her work, taking great pride in every piece she created. Whether she was helping someone find a home or crafting something meaningful for a customer, Angie always gave her very best. She was known for her strong work ethic, her attention to detail, and her willingness to go above and beyond for others.

Angie had a truly servant’s heart and was known for always putting others before herself. She had a natural way of making people feel comfortable, loved, and accepted. Many saw her as more than a friend—she was like a mother figure to so many, always offering guidance, encouragement, and support when it was needed most.

Above all, Angie loved her family. She cherished her husband, Everett, and was proud of the life they shared together. She deeply loved her children, Tiffany, Tabitha, and Nick, and treasured every moment spent with them. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she loved.

She also shared a special bond with her dog, Roger, who brought her comfort, companionship, and happiness. Whether at home or spending time with loved ones, Angie found joy in life’s simple moments.

Angie is survived by her husband, Everett Scarborough of the home in Redbird, Oklahoma; her father and stepmother, Gary and Connie Akins of Coweta, Oklahoma; her children, Tiffany Bowers, Tabitha Bowers, and Nick Cypert; two sisters, Nikki Akins and Bonnie Jean Boggs; three brothers, Gary Akins II, Ronald Darrell Akins, and David Allen Akins; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Davis.

Angie will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the love she gave so freely to others. Her legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering care for those around her will live on in all who knew and loved her.
