Beverley Sue "Bev" Hausam, age 76, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Coweta Care & Rehab Center in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Bev was born on January 30, 1950, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, to John Richard Snelson, Jr. and Eunice Lucille (Hunter) Snelson. She graduated with the Coweta High School Class of 1968 before earning her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northeastern State University.

On March 31, 1972, Bev married the love of her life, Randall Ray Hausam, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they built a loving home and shared over 54 years of marriage.

Bev dedicated more than 30 years to Broken Arrow Public Schools as a fourth and fifth grade elementary teacher. She was a gifted educator who deeply loved children and was highly respected by her students, fellow teachers, and the families she served. Even years after leaving the classroom, former students would stop to greet her whenever they saw her in public, a testament to the lasting impact she made on countless young lives. After retiring from teaching, she continued serving others as the secretary at Southside Elementary School in Coweta for over 15 years, where she remained until 2022.

Bev was a member of the First Baptist Church. She faithfully prepared sausage gravy for the American Legion and Masonic Lodge breakfasts, volunteered to cook at Falls Creek, and was always willing to serve wherever she was needed. She was known for her giving heart, kind spirit, and unwavering faith.

Above all, Bev cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and Mimi. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and faithfully instilled her love for the Lord and the importance of family into each generation. She was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan.

Bev is survived by her husband, Randall Ray Hausam; her son, Devin Hausam and wife Netta; her granddaughter, Tatum Terry and husband Brett; her great-grandchildren, Austin Price, Ben Price, Cooper Terry, and Camryn Terry; her sister, Treva Snelson; numerous nieces and nephews; and an abundance of former students whom she had the privilege of teaching, mentoring, and loving throughout her years in education.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Hausam; her parents, John Richard Snelson, Jr. and Eunice Lucille Snelson; and her sister, Shirley Knowles.

Bev will be remembered for her servant's heart, her unwavering faith, her love for children, and the countless lives she touched as an educator and mentor. Whether in the classroom, at church, or with her family, she lived a life of compassion, generosity, and grace. Her legacy will continue in the many students she inspired, the family she adored, and all who were blessed to know and love her.

A memorial service celebrating Bev's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 7, 2026, at CrossPoint Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Pastor Brett Wheeler officiating.
