Billie Bernice Liles, resident of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Porter, OK, at the age of 64. She was born on March 8, 1961, in Muskogee, OK. Billie was the cherished daughter of Samuel Monroe and Gladys Marie (Henson) Craft. Her joyful spirit and capacity for love touched the lives of all who knew her.
Billie grew up in a large family and was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers, Robert Craft, David Craft, Monte Craft, and Tommy Craft, and her sisters, Verda Craft, Dorothy Parker, Ruby Foster, and Margie Hall. She faced the world with resilience and grace, and her warm and caring nature left an indelible mark on her family and friends.
In her early years, Billie attended Muskogee Public Schools, where she developed a strong foundation that would carry her through life. She later married James Douglas Liles, who also preceded her in death.
Billie's career included working as a cashier at Taco Bell and Dollar General, where she delighted customers with her welcoming smile and friendly demeanor.
Above all, Billie’s heart belonged to her family. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Burkett of Connecticut, Casey Liles of Tulsa, OK, Valarie McMahill (Wesley Henderson) of Porter, OK, and adopted daughter Kristen Sweetin (Gary Sweetin) of Wagoner, OK; her grandchildren, Cloud, Zach, Robbie, Logan, Ashton, River, Ted, Jimmy, Dylan, and Stacy; her great grandchild Sophia; her sisters, Dovie Ellis of Tulsa, OK, Fay Turner (Raymond) of Eufaula, OK, Virginia Casteel of Muskogee, OK, and Linda Oakley of Tulsa, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will carry forward her memory.
Billie was a beautiful high-spirited woman who delighted in anything involving her children or grandchildren, especially around the holidays. She treasured and adored her pets. She found enjoyment spending time outdoors, going to and looking for yard sales, and crocheting. Billie never met a stranger and was blessed with the gift of gab, always willing to help others, and never judge. She was a one-of-a-kind person, with an old soul that modeled strength and kindness for her daughters.
Billie’s life was a testament to her big heart. She was an amazing lady will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. Services honoring Billie will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK, officiated by Pastor Ron Martin. Billie will be laid to rest at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
