Bobbye Jean Carpenter, age 94, resident of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, May 24, 2025, at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was born on July 8, 1930, in Henryetta, OK to Marline and Lola (Yates) Holly. Bobbye's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and faith.

Bobbye's journey began in the small town of Henryetta, where she attended school and blossomed into a kind-hearted young woman. Her life was forever changed when she married Jerrald Dow Carpenter on August 25, 1947. Together, they built a life filled with joy, challenges, and countless blessings. Bobbye's role as a devoted homemaker was one she embraced with every fiber of her being, creating a warm and welcoming home where laughter and love were always in abundance.

Bobbye's love for her family knew no bounds. She is survived by her loving children, Patricia Hutton of Little Rock, AR, and John Carpenter and his wife Marci of Coweta, OK. Her legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren, Tara Price, Alisa Lenhart, Melissa Buffington, Greg Buffington, Holly Buffington, Bobbie Cassidy, Trisha Huggins, Clint Carpenter, Brent Carpenter, Brad Carpenter, and Isabel Carpenter, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Bobbye also leaves behind her half-siblings, Barbara Ullrich, Dick Holly, and Virginia Russell, who will miss her deeply.

Bobbye was a woman of faith, a member of the Community Baptist Church in Coweta, OK, where she found solace and strength.

While Bobbye's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, her spirit will forever be a guiding light for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerrald Dow Carpenter, her parents, Marlin and Lola Holly, her children, Carol Moore and Jerry Carpenter, and her sisters, Luella Bennight and Marlene Murray.

Bobbye’s story is one of enduring love and the beauty of a life dedicated to others. Her memory will be cherished, her lessons will be honored, and her love will continue to nurture the many lives she touched. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit remains an indelible part of the tapestry of her family's history.

A memorial service celebrating Bobbye's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Community Baptist Church in Coweta, OK.
