Buddy Leroy Hamersley

Buddy Leroy Hamersley, age 78, of Haskell, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday evening, May 7, 2026, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Buddy was born on May 6, 1948, in Coalgate, Oklahoma, to Roy Richard Hamersley and Doris Mae (Wright) Hamersley. He graduated from Midwest City High School in 1966. Following high school, he attended OSU Okmulgee where he studied HVAC Technology.

Buddy spent over 30 years in the HVAC industry, working for Commercial Air as a skilled sheet metal journeyman and shop foreman. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication, knowledge, and strong work ethic throughout his career. He retired in 2002 after many years in the industry.

In his younger years, Buddy loved drag racing and enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie that came with it. Throughout his life, he always loved fishing and golfing and treasured the time spent outdoors. He also enjoyed watching sports and was always happiest when staying active and busy fixing things. In later years, he especially enjoyed trips to the casino and spending time with his family and friends.

Buddy will be remembered for his independent spirit, hardworking nature, and the many memories he created with those who loved him.

He is survived by his children, Amy Knoche and husband Rick of Haskell, Oklahoma, Terry Hamersley and wife Tonya of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Angela Buechler and husband Casey of Claremore, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Adriana Knoche, Ricky Knoche and fiancée Erin Danielson, Deanna Smith and husband Cruce, Tyler Hamersley, Owen Arnold and wife Shelby, Brooklyn Buechler, and Natalie Buechler; two great-grandchildren, Colson Smith and Reed Smith, with one great-grandchild on the way; his sister, Marilyn Ford of Del City, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Richard and Doris Mae Hamersley; and his brother, James Richard Hamersley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, May 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coweta, Oklahoma. Additional viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Funeral services honoring Buddy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Chaplain Mosetta Williams officiating.
