Rev. Calvin E. Easley, went home to be with the Lord on October 27th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 9th, 1942, to Charles Wayman Easley, and Alice Maxine Easley, in Coweta, Oklahoma. He attended grade school at Lone Star School and graduated from Coweta High School in 1959. After graduating High School, he attended Oklahoma State University, and Oklahoma Baptist University. He was called to the gospel ministry at First Baptist Church Coweta, Oklahoma, and licensed and ordained under the ministry of Rev. L.E. Cunningham. After his call in his teens, Rev. Easley was involved in preaching youth revivals with other young men who later became pastors and seminary professors. While pastoring his first church in Warner, Oklahoma, he served as the director of the (BSU), Baptist Student Union, at Conners State College. He was married to Judy Price, on November 24th, 1959, and they would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in November of this year. He surrendered to the gospel ministry in 1960 and served in four churches over his 63-year ministry. These churches included: First Baptist Church, Warner, Oklahoma, (1962-1965), Second Baptist Church, Russellville, Arkansas, (1965-1970), Brookside Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma (1970-1977), and County Line Baptist Church, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (1977-2025). Over the course of his ministry, Rev. Easley preached Revivals in several states, and led numerous groups on mission trips over several decades to Honduras and Nicaragua.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wayman Easley, Alice Maxine Easley, and his brother, Colbert Wayman Easley.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Judy Easley, Sister, Margaret Box, (Marlin), Son, Terry Easley, (Konnie), Daughter, Tina Schroeder, (Dave), Daughter, Teresa Poplin, (Kirk), Son, Toby Easley, (Kimberly), Daughter, Tonja Eads, (16) Grandchildren, & (38) Great-Grandchildren.
He was deeply loved by all his family and church family. Ally, his oldest great-granddaughter wrote, “He never missed a chance to share God’s love whether on a mission trip, in a hospital waiting room, or during an elevator ride with a stranger. Witnessing wasn’t something he did; it was who he was. I can’t even begin to fathom how many people he led to the Lord over the years. He also spent a lifetime beside my nanny. Oh, how he loved her, and he did this so deeply until his very last breath. Together they raised five children and shared their love with sixteen grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grands. He didn’t just build a family; he built a legacy. I am so beyond thankful I got to be part of it. There is nothing in this life that will ever compare to the pride I feel in being an Easley.” We are all so grateful as a family to have shared in his love, faithfulness, kindness, and patience that he exhibited throughout his life (Isaiah 40:31).
