Carolyn Odelle Jones

Mrs. Carolyn Odelle Jones, 61, of Coweta, Oklahoma, departed this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Coweta Care & Rehab Center in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Carolyn was born on February 28, 1965, in Vian, Oklahoma, to Everett Hunt, Sr. and Rosetta (Drew) Hunt-Mass. She was raised with strong family values, graduated from high school in 1985, and carried a caring spirit throughout her life.

Carolyn worked in several fields over the years, including as a nurse aide, in hospitality with DoubleTree Hotels, and in restaurant management. No matter where she worked, she was known for her warm personality, strong work ethic, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

A faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Coweta, Carolyn found comfort and strength in her faith. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with those she loved. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Jones; her parents, Rosetta Hunt-Mass and Everett Hunt, Sr.; and her brother, Previn Hunt.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Lakesha Hunt, Kia Cooper, and Twanika Davis and husband Christopher; her beloved grandchildren, Rion, Hailey, Alysiya, Mariah, Marquis, Ebony, and Maliah; her brothers, Everett Hunt, Jr. and Michael Hunt; her sister, Lavonna Hunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her love and kindness.

Carolyn’s gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service celebrating Carolyn's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Coweta, Oklahoma.
