CJ Jackson, age 77, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Coweta, Oklahoma.
CJ was born on October 27, 1948, in Coweta, Oklahoma to Clarence Jackson and Maud (Ward) Jackson. He was raised in Coweta and remained deeply connected to the community throughout his life. CJ lived a simple and steady life, grounded in routine, family, and the things that brought him comfort and happiness.
He was a hardworking and dependable man who spent many years working as a paper shredder. CJ was employed with the Sapulpa County Courthouse as well as The MET in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Those who knew him knew he was someone who could be counted on, quiet in nature but consistent, reliable, and dedicated in everything he did.
CJ found his greatest joy in being around his family. Whether it was gathering for holidays, sharing a meal, or simply spending time together, those moments meant the most to him. He enjoyed listening to country music, watching his favorite game shows, especially The Price Is Right, and cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder. CJ appreciated the simple things in life and found happiness in everyday moments.
He will be remembered for his calm spirit, his steady presence, and the love he had for his family. CJ’s life was one of quiet strength, and he leaves behind many memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
CJ is survived by his sister, Lillie Jackson Cox of Claremore, Oklahoma; his brothers, Doug Jackson and wife Dyana of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Richard Adamson; his nieces and nephews, Darrell Jackson and wife Mandy, Nick Jackson and wife Robin, Bennie Jackson and wife Ashley, Jerrlynn Cox, Janet Fann, Donald Cox, and Steven Cox, along with many other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his great nieces and great nephews, Bobbylynn, Wyatt, Chelsey, Eternity, Bentley, Corben, Kyle, and Piper, as well as many other great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Maud (Ward) Jackson; and his siblings, Troy Jackson, Paul Jackson Furman, and Dorothy Jackson.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coweta, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Pastor Brent White officiating.
