David Bruce Kilgore, Sr.

David Bruce Kilgore, Sr., age 66, of Coweta, OK, passed away on Sunday morning, September 14, 2025, at the Coweta Care & Rehab Center in Coweta, OK. He was born on July 7, 1959, in Coweta, OK, to Gary and Bessie Mae (Cunningham) Kilgore.

David attended Porter and Coweta schools. In 1976, he married Sharon Kay (Johnson) Kilgore, with whom he had five children before their separation. David dedicated much of his life to working as a rock mason and carpenter.

He is survived by his two sons, David Bruce "Cooter" Kilgore, Jr. of Coweta, OK, and Mathew Lloyd Kilgore and his wife Bethany of Coweta, OK. David also leaves behind six grandchildren: Trae Turner, Drake Turner, Kenlie Kilgore, Cody Memphis Kilgore, Molly Kilgore, and Quinn Kilgore. He is also survived by three brothers: Will Kilgore and his wife Norma of Coweta, OK, Jack Kilgore of Porter, OK, and Gary Kilgore and his wife Bambi of Oologah, OK; and two sisters: Mildred Gilbert of Haskell, OK, and Belle Sisco of Wagoner, OK. David's partner, Lisa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives will also miss him dearly.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Bessie Mae Kilgore; three daughters, Jennifer, Amy, and Angie Kilgore; two brothers, Edward Kilgore and Freddie Joe Kilgore; and two sisters, Nellie Arnold and Loretta Stevens.

A memorial service celebrating David's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK, with Pastor Charlie Smith officiating.
