Delmar James Easley

Delmar James Easley, age 78, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Delmar was born on May 5, 1947, in Coweta, Oklahoma, to James Earl Easley and Audrey Fern (Friend) Easley. He was raised in Coweta and attended Coweta schools, where he formed lifelong roots in the community he proudly called home.

Delmar worked as a truck driver and also as a trim carpenter, dedicating many years of hard work to providing for his family. He later retired from Cedar Creek Wholesale, where he worked as a truck driver. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.

In his free time, Delmar enjoyed taking care of his animals, coon hunting, rabbit hunting, gardening, and collecting coins. He found joy in the simple things in life and especially valued time spent outdoors and with family.

Delmar was a devoted husband to his late wife, Mary Easley. The two were united in marriage on September 19, 1980, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, and shared many years of love and companionship together.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Easley Glass of Coweta, Oklahoma; his step-daughter Cristie Watkins and husband Darrin of Coweta, Oklahoma; four grandsons, Matthew Glass and wife Lezlie, Kyle Glass, Zachary Watkins, and Jason Watkins; two great-grandchildren, Jake Mosley and Tavery Glass; his dear friend Judy Faulkenberry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Easley; his parents, James Earl and Audrey Fern Easley; his sisters, Christine Todd and Wanda Woodward; and his grandson, Aaron Easley.

Delmar will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for the outdoors, and the care he had for his family and animals. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Ronnie Todd officiating. Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with family present from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
