Donna Jean Snelson Cole, age 85, of Coweta, Oklahoma passed away on Friday morning, August 21, 2026, at the Brookdale Senior Solutions Facility in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Donna was born on December 23, 1940, in Coweta, Oklahoma to Opal Mae Dobbs Snelson and Russell Snelson. She attended Coweta Public Schools.

On September 25, 1958, Donna married the love of her life, Max Allen Cole in Coweta, Oklahoma. Together they shared 63 years of marriage. It was life filled with family, treasured memories and a love that endured through the years.

Donna worked at Thomas & Betts as a machinist. After retiring from there she worked at Reba’s Greenhouse in Coweta.

Donna loved gardening, traveling, knitting, playing the piano and singing --- but most of all spending time with her family.

As talented as Donna was, the most beautiful part of her life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Donna is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Cole and wife Cindy of Coweta, Randy Cole and wife Stephanie of Porter. She had three grandchildren, Dala Hedge and husband Jeff, Brandon Cole and wife Robyn, Darla Cole and partner, Dalton Hill. She had eight great-grandchildren: Mady, Caden, and Braden Hedge, Mia, Ali and Emi Cole and Jade and Ruby Goodson. She is also survived by her sister Glenda Denton and husband Larry of Coweta and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Russell Snelson and Opal Snelson Kirkland, her husband, Max Cole and her sister Velda Withers.

Viewing is available on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coweta, Oklahoma from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with family receiving visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at the Coweta Assembly of God Church at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
