Douglas Eugene Forsman, known affectionately as Doug to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home in Coweta, OK, on Thursday morning, July 31, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born on September 9, 1942, in Tulsa, OK to Roy Eugene and Vivian June (Brown) Forsman.
Doug's early years were spent in Tulsa, where he graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1961. His commitment to his nation was evident when he served in the United States Army Reserves, a time that instilled in him a sense of discipline and pride that he carried throughout his life. After his service, Doug embarked on a successful career as a credit manager, working for Midwestern Industries and several other companies before transitioning into industrial sales for heavy equipment. His professional life was characterized by integrity, a strong work ethic, and the respect of his colleagues.
On May 1, 1965, Doug married the love of his life, Judy Aline Chaumont. Their union was blessed with joy, laughter, and two daughters, who would become the center of Doug's world. Together, Doug and Judy built a life filled with love and cherished memories, celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Doug's love for his family was unparalleled. He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Aline Forsman of Coweta, OK; his daughter, Kendis Griffith and her husband Don of Broken Arrow, OK; his grandchildren, Katie Kelley, Ryan Kelley and his wife Loryn, and KayCee Willison and her husband Cade, all of Coweta, OK; and his great-grandchildren, Lane Willison, Ronni Willison, and John David Kelley. He also leaves behind his brother, Rudy Forsman and his wife Linda of Oologah, OK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss him dearly.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Eugene and Vivian June Forsman, and his daughter, Kristin Kelley.
An avid outdoorsman, Doug found solace and joy in bird hunting with his beloved hunting dogs. He was also a skilled golfer and took great pleasure in watching his grandchildren play sports.
Doug's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the importance of family. His warm smile and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
