Freda Jean Pratt

Freda Jean Pratt, age 78, of Mounds, Oklahoma, passed away Monday evening, March 16, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Freda was born March 6, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Ira B. Plunk and Betty J. (Murdock) Plunk. She attended Broken Arrow and Coweta schools, where she built the foundation of a life centered around family, faith, and caring for others.

Freda devoted her life to her home and family as a homemaker, a role she carried with deep pride and purpose. She had a natural gift for nurturing others, and nowhere was that more evident than in the love and commitment she showed to her daughter, Jenny, whom she faithfully cared for throughout her life. Her strength, patience, and selflessness were a true reflection of her character.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Freda enjoyed writing poetry, expressing her thoughts and feelings through words, and she loved cooking meals that brought her family together. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and unconditional love.

Freda was a member of Coweta Assembly in Coweta, Oklahoma, where her faith guided her life.

Above all, Freda will be remembered for her kind heart, her quiet strength, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Devon Woodruff, Jenny Woodruff, and Stacy Williams; her grandchildren, Brooke Woodruff, Hunter Schmuck, Tanner Schmuck, Faith Williams, and Aleah Williams Woodruff; and her siblings, Cleon Plunk and wife Sarah, Sammy Plunk and wife Janda, Eddie Plunk and wife Patti, and Dottie Jones and husband Allan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Travis Plunk, Stephen Plunk, Toby Plunk, Nathan Plunk, Nick Plunk, Caleb Plunk, Blaine Plunk, and Crystal Plunk, along with many other extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira B. Plunk and Betty Plunk; her husband, David Allen Pratt; and her siblings, Becky Britten and Doyce Plunk.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Coweta Assembly in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Pastor Steve Lee officiating.
