Gary Robert Maxwell, age 71, resident of Coweta, OK, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 28, 2025, at his home in Coweta, OK. He was born on October 20, 1953, in Henryetta, OK to Bobby Linvel and Lillian Yvonne (Benton) Maxwell. Gary's life was one of dedication, love, and simple pleasures.

Gary attended Edison High School in Tulsa, OK. After completing his education, Gary entered the workforce, where he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing for his family. He spent many years as a warehouse worker and truck driver for L&M Office Furniture in Tulsa, OK, until his well-deserved retirement in 2015.

On September 12, 1983, Gary married the love of his life, Patricia Carol Harbour. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and the kind of love that serves as a foundation for a strong family. Gary's role as a husband was one he cherished deeply, and the bond he shared with Patricia was evident to all who knew them.

Gary's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his children, Laura (Maxwell) Peiffer and husband Alex of Sapulpa, OK, Jonathan Maxwell and wife Jean of Coweta, OK, Nicole Heibert and husband Greg of Wichita, KS, Tamera Rodgers and husband Ian of Claremore, OK, and Jason Maxwell of Owasso, OK. His legacy continues through his 11 grandchildren, Kara, Sarah, Amanda, Dacoata, Michael, Robert, Hannah, Samantha, Gage, Ryann, and Evan, who will carry forward the values and memories he instilled in them. Gary is also survived by his sister, Tina Jones and husband Larry of Tulsa, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss his presence dearly.

Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Patricia Maxwell, his parents, Bobby Linvel Maxwell and Lillian Yvonne Baker, and his sisters, Jana Keas and Ruth Ann Bettis.

Gary's interests were a reflection of his love for life and family. He was an avid NASCAR fan, relishing the thrill of the race and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. Camping trips were a favorite family activity, providing a backdrop for stories, laughter, and the creation of cherished memories. Above all, Gary loved spending time with his grandchildren, each moment with them a treasure that he held close to his heart.

Gary's journey through life was marked by the love he gave and the strength of his character. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire. As we remember Gary, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a legacy that will endure through the generations.
