James "Bob" Robert Axton

February 14, 1961 — June 10, 2025

James Robert "Bob" Axton, age 64, tragically passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, near Cloudy, Oklahoma. He was born on February 14, 1961, in Grants, New Mexico to parents John David Axton and Wynona Lois (Lacy) Axton. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, Bob was a man known for his passion for the outdoors, and talent in automotive body work.

Bob was a seasoned professional in the automotive paint and body industry. However, Bob’s most treasured moments were spent in the serenity of nature, hunting and fishing. Bob's deep appreciation for the natural world was a part of his character that resonated deeply with those who were fortunate to accompany him on these journeys.

His memory is honored by his son, Robert "Bobby" Aaron Axton, his grandsons, Shawn Kelton Axton and Briar Lee Axton, his siblings, David Axton and wife Debroah of Glenpool, OK, Patricia Hampton of Oklahoma City, OK, and Paula Ditterline, of Cottonwood, AZ, as well as his nieces Kendra, Peaches, and Nichole, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, John David Axton, his mother, Wynona Lois (Lacy) Axton, and his grandparents Marin and Myrtle Axton and Herbert and Lillian Lacy.

As the sun sets on a life well-lived, we remember Bob not for the tragedy that took him, but for the permanent imprint he left in our hearts and the world around him. Bob's departure has left a void that is deeply felt, yet we are comforted by the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. His laughter, indomitable spirit, and the love he shared will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
