Porter

James Eugene Johnson, affectionately known as T-Bird or Jimmy to his friends and family, age 53, resident of Porter, OK, passed away peacefully at his home in Porter, OK, on Saturday morning, June 14, 2025. He was born on August 7, 1971, in Chicago, IL to Alfred Lee and Mary Jane (Snead) Johnson. Jimmy was a man whose vibrant spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A proud graduate of Porter High School's class of 1989, he carried the lessons and friendships from those formative years throughout his life. Jimmy's work ethic and dedication were evident in his long-standing career as a truck driver for M & K Trucking in Coweta, OK, where he was not just an employee but a part of their family.

On February 20, 2018, Jimmy married the love of his life, Christie Michelle Drywater, and together they created a life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments. His passion for building cars and going to the races was only matched by his love for spending time with his family. Whether it was outdoors, in the shop, or simply gathered around the dinner table, Jimmy was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones.

Jimmy's legacy is carried on by his devoted wife, Christie Johnson of Porter, OK; his father, Alfred "Sonny" Johnson of Oktaha, OK; his brother, Al Johnson of Muskogee, OK; his children, Lacey Harrell and husband JT of Coweta, OK, Tyler Johnson of Coweta, OK, Tiffany Lopez and her husband Francisco of McAlester, OK, Dalton Johnson of Porter, OK, Tonie Turner, John Turner and his wife Kaleigh of Cleveland, OK, Sunnie Shafer and husband Dereck of Springtown, TX, Talia Turner of Porter, OK, and Treylyn Turner of Porter, OK; and his grandchildren, Bentley, Wiley-J, Reed, Waylon, Chevie, Gracelyn, Kenzleigh, Wrenleigh, Charlie, Bristol, Hudson, Paisleigh, and Jerry. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will fondly remember his generous spirit.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Mary Jane Johnson, and his daughter, Katelynn Rene Johnson.
