James "Jimmy" Arvil Osburn

November 23, 1960 — April 29, 2025

Coweta

James “Jimmy” Arvil Osburn, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, departed this life on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 64. He was born on November 23, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Kenneth Wayne Osburn and his late mother Mary Ellen (Goodall) Osburn. His values for faith, family and hard work personified his everyday life and love for others.

He was raised in the warmth of a close-knit family and the Church of Christ in Haskell, Oklahoma. Jimmy was a graduate of Haskell High School's class of 1979, who went on to display exquisite craftsmanship as a welder at Mega-Tek in Haskell, where his skills in metal fabrication were highly valued. He was known for his dedication to his work and for the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues.

Jimmy's zest for life was evident in his love of NASCAR and his unwavering support for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. He took immense pleasure in camping and fishing trips, which were often accompanied by the laughter and stories shared with friends and family. These simple joys were only surpassed by the delight he found in playtime with his beloved grandchildren. He loved to cheer them on from the sidelines during ball games and spend time with them.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Walker of the home in Coweta, OK, and his loving children, Amber Sanchez (Leobardo) of Haskell, OK, Jessica Shed (Beau) of Haskell, OK, James Osburn (Lauren) of Haskell, OK, Stephanie Walker of Coweta, OK, and Shawn Walker (Kristin) of Broken Arrow, OK. His legacy of love also lives on in the hearts of his siblings, Becky Cox (Larry) of Searcy, AR, Roger Osburn (Jan) of Morrison, OK, Larry Osburn (Regina) of Bixby, OK, and Leah Blan (Stan) of Haskell, OK, and his memory will be a guiding light for his 14 grandchildren.

Jimmy’s departure leaves a void in the lives he touched, but his spirit and the memories he created will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration.
