Judith Ellen Holtz, departed this life on Monday morning, August 14, 2023, at Beehive Homes in Glenpool, OK at the age of 83 years. She was born on November 23, 1939, in Tulsa, OK to Carl and Thelma (Crider) Williams.
Judy was a graduate of Central High School in Tulsa, OK, class of 1958. That same year Judy married the love of her life, Donald Dale Holtz, on Valentine’s Day at Nogales Avenue Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK. Their love story spanned over six decades, and together, they created a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She briefly worked at the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce. However, her true passion was her role as a homemaker, where she dedicated her life to caring for her family. Judy's love for her family was evident in everything she did, from cooking family meals to spending holidays together. She loved spending time at the lake with her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her devotion to her family, Judy had a heart for service. She spent countless hours volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Tulsa, OK, where she touched the lives of many families in need. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.
Judy is survived by her husband, Donald Holtz of Tulsa, OK; sons, Randy Holtz and wife Carla of Coweta, OK and Russell Holtz of Garner, NC; daughter, Rhonda Clerkin and husband Richard of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Jared Holtz and wife Whitney of Wagoner, OK, Jordan Allen and husband Ryan of Broken Arrow, OK, Maggie Clerkin of Philadelphia, PA, and Thomas Clerkin and wife Sage of Beaufort, NC; seven great-grandchildren, Alexis, Daniella, Grayson, Wyatt, and Carly Holtz; Crew and Banks Allen; sister, Pam Wisley and husband Max of Tulsa, OK; niece, Courtney Haller; nephew, Justin Buthod; cousin, Sandy Blackford; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Thelma Williams, grandmother, Eva Crider, and cousin, Patty Fasken.
Judy's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. The family would like to thank the staff at BeeHive Homes of Glenpool for the loving care they provided in her last months and A-Vow Hospice for the special attention in her last days.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. Services celebrating Judy's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Coweta Assembly in Coweta, OK, with Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Judy will be laid to rest at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK.
