Wagoner

Kenneth Vincent “Vince” King, Wagoner resident, passed away on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 58. He was born on November 25th, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Norman Victor King and Katherine Louise (Farney) King. Kenneth led a life marked by joy, generosity, and a passion for knowledge.

With a lifelong dedication to learning, Vince was an enthusiastic advocate for education. While working on his teaching degree, he took great joy in serving as a substitute teacher for Coweta Public Schools, where he shared his favorite subjects like science, igniting curiosity and wonder in countless students. As military history buff, he welcomed spirited discussions with friends and family, always ready to share his knowledge and insights.

Those who knew Vince will recall his enchanting smile, his witty humor, and his boundless compassion. He was the epitome of selflessness, often putting others before himself in every aspect of life. A nature lover and avid gardener, Vince found peace in the simple pleasures of life—watching the wildlife, nurturing his garden, and witnessing the growth around him. Some of Vince's most cherished moments were spent in the warm glow of sunsets alongside his wife, Jennifer. These quiet moments of reflection and beauty underscored a life well-lived, one rooted in the joy of everyday experiences and the company of loved ones.

Vince is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Jennifer Lynn (Tennison) King, whom he married on March 20th, 2010, in Wagoner, Oklahoma. The couple created a beautiful life together in their Wagoner home, filling it with laughter and love. His spirit lives on through his stepson, Justin Whalen and wife Aya, and his beloved grandson, William Kai Whalen. Vince's capacity to love knew no bounds, extending to his nieces and nephews, and many who became family through his marriage to Jennifer.

Predeceased by his father, Norman Victor King, and his mother, Katherine Louise (Farney) King, Vince's legacy of kindness and enthusiasm for life will be forever remembered by all who loved him.

Vince's passing leaves a permanent void in the hearts of his family and friends. Yet, they take comfort in knowing that his life was a testament to love, kindness, and the enduring power of education. His laughter, his stories, and his gentle spirit will resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him. Kenneth Vincent King's legacy will continue to inspire and influence, just as the vibrant sunsets he so adored mark the promise of a new day.

Services for Vince will be held at a later date.
