Loren Eugene Graham

Loren Eugene Graham, age 89, lifelong resident of Coweta, OK, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, August 4, 2025, at the Broken Arrow Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, OK. He was born on June 5, 1936, in Broken Arrow, OK to Odie and Anna Mae (Pitcock) Graham. Loren's life was one marked by dedication, laughter, and love.

Loren attended Coweta Public Schools and grew up in the close-knit community of Coweta, which he called home throughout his life. His commitment to his country was evident as he served in the Army National Guard, a period of his life that instilled in him values of discipline and service.

On January 15, 1954, Loren married the love of his life, Ruby Anna Brewer, at Oak Grove Church in Broken Arrow, OK. Their union was blessed with a son, Loren Eugene Graham, II, and two daughters, Lorrie Whalen and Cindy Harvey. Loren's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

Professionally, Loren was known for his skillful hands and problem-solving abilities. He worked as a mechanic at Tulsa County District 3 for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. His passion for mechanics extended beyond his career as he also owned and operated Loren Graham's Body Shop for many years. Even after retirement, Loren continued to tinker and repair, always ready to lend his expertise.

Loren's interests were as robust as his work ethic. He was an avid fan of stock car races, a hobby that reflected his love for speed and precision. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing the guitar, filling the family home with music and joy. Known for his great sense of humor, Loren could light up a room with his wit and warm presence. Above all, his grandchildren were his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Loren is survived by his devoted wife, Ruby Anna Graham; his son, Loren Eugene Graham, II and wife Jane of Helena, MT; his daughters, Lorrie Whalen of Tulsa, OK, and Cindy Harvey and husband Robert of Broken Arrow, OK. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, Sommer Martin and husband Luke, Amber Chastain and husband Derek, Aaron Ragsdale, and Ashley Ragsdale. His legacy continues through his five great-grandchildren, Robert Ragsdale, Andrew Smith, Gabe Martin, Jade Martin, and Cameron Martin, as well as numerous other relatives who will miss him dearly. Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Odie and Anna Mae Graham.

Loren’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and hard work, and his memory will be treasured forever.

Visitation for Loren will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. Services celebrating Loren's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK, with Rev. Brody Morris officiating. Loren will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
