Macy Holmes, born on October 10, 1987, a radiant soul known for her boundless creativity, heartfelt compassion, and deep love for her family, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. Born and raised in Coweta, Oklahoma, Macy lived a life full of beauty, laughter, and adventure.
Macy was a natural-born artist with a flair for expression. Her creative talents were as vast as her imagination—painting, photography, writing, and design were just a few of the many ways she brought color and meaning into the world. Her creative mind saw the world differently and beautifully, and she left her mark through everything she created and every life she touched.
Macy had an infectious personality and a warmth that drew others in. Her kindness was magnetic, her humor uplifting, and her presence comforting. She loved fiercely, especially when it came to her family.
To her nieces and nephews—Bridget, Emily, Kate, Kaelee, and Braxton—she wasn’t just Aunt Macy; she was Gigi, a title she wore with pride and joy. Being their Gigi was one of the greatest honors of her life. She delighted in their laughter, celebrated their accomplishments, and offered unconditional love and support with every hug, text, and visit.
Macy had a heart for adventure and an unshakable sense of wanderlust. Her travels led her to live in Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Maine, and Alaska, each place adding another layer of richness to her story. Though she called many places home, she always carried Coweta and her family in her heart. Her dream was to one day move to Ireland, a place she longed to explore and experience firsthand.
She adored her dogs, who were not just pets but beloved companions and sources of comfort and joy. Her love for animals mirrored her tenderness toward all of God’s creation.
Macy is survived by her loving parents, Randy and Karen Holmes; her sister, Blakely Seely, and husband Josh; her brother, Randell “Mac” Holmes, and his partner MaKenna; her precious nieces and nephew, lovingly known to her as her “babies,” her grandma, Judy Faulkenberry, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dude Faulkenberry; her grandmother, Glenda Holmes; and her grandfather, Paul Holmes, with whom she now reunites in peace.
A celebration of Macy’s life will be held at Coweta Assembly in Coweta, Oklahoma on June 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm. All who knew and loved Macy are welcome to attend and honor her extraordinary life.
Macy Holmes was a dreamer, an artist, a traveler, and above all, a deeply loving human being. Though her journey here has ended, her light continues to shine through the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely.
