Marjory Dee Cobb, most affectionately known as Dee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her residence in Coweta, Oklahoma, at the age of 96. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma, on September 28, 1928. Dee's life was a testament to love, kindness, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Dee was the cherished daughter of the late Douglas Duke and Mable (Black) Duke. Her life was enriched with love when she married Lonnie B. Cobb in 1946, with whom she shared an enduring partnership until his passing. Dee's legacy continued to blossom through her devoted children, daughter Kala Johnson and deceased husband David and son Terry Cobb, lovingly accompanied by his wife, Sherri. The light of her life shone through her granddaughters, Shelley Davis and husband Ian, Megan Sawney and husband Michael, and Jason Cobb and his wife Shelley, and her adored great-grandchildren Tucker, Lilli, Mia, Mariah, Jay, and Jordan. Dee fully embraced her role as a homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. Her zest for life was evident in her love for travel and her insatiable appetite for reading. Above all, Dee will forever be remembered as a very sweet and loving person, who cherished each moment spent with her grandchildren. Dee’s genuine warmth, compassion, and tenderness made her a beacon of light to all who knew her.
