Merry Virginia Massey, age 81, of Coweta, Oklahoma, entered her Heavenly Home on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Merry was born on December 20, 1944, in Okemah, Oklahoma, to Huff Floyd Lindsey and Virginia J. (Walkup) Lindsey. She graduated from Coweta High School in 1961 and remained proud of her hometown throughout her life.

On May 31, 1963, Merry married the love of her life, Robert Lee Massey, in Coweta, Oklahoma. Together they shared many wonderful years of marriage while building a home centered on faith, family, and serving others.

Merry enjoyed a successful career as a Personnel Manager for Walmart, where she faithfully served for more than 25 years. She was admired for her kindness, leadership, and dedication to both her coworkers and the many associates she mentored throughout her career.

A devoted member of Coweta Assembly, Merry faithfully served her church in countless ways throughout the years. She served as the church treasurer, taught Sunday school, volunteered with Vacation Bible School, helped prepare bereavement dinners, and was an active participant in the Young at Heart ministry. Her love for the Lord was evident in both her words and her actions, and she found great joy in serving her church family.

Merry had a creative spirit and loved expressing it through baking, scrapbooking, calligraphy, candy making, and traveling. She also proudly served with the Coweta Lady Firefighter Auxiliary, where she enjoyed supporting the firefighters and their families. Whether creating handmade gifts, preparing treats for loved ones, or preserving precious family memories, Merry poured love into everything she did.

Above all, Merry treasured her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, celebrating life's milestones, and creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

She is survived by her daughters, Shonna Massey of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Sherry Kelley and husband Timothy of Coweta, Oklahoma; her son, Jeffrey Massey and wife Kendal of Wagoner, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Jessica Chance and husband Justin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Stephen Kelley of Coweta, Oklahoma, Alyssa Massey of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Madison Kelley of Coweta, Oklahoma, Braden Massey of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and Reese Kelley of Coweta, Oklahoma; her great-grandchildren, Alexander, Rylee, Emree, and Abigail; her sisters-in-law, Donnette Lindsey of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Edna Lindsey of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Virginia Lindsey of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Massey; her parents, Huff Floyd Lindsey and Virginia J. Lindsey; and her brothers, Floyd Lindsey, James Lindsey, and Steven Lindsey.
