Michael John
Goettle
Jul 17, 1950 — Jul 29, 2026
Coweta
Mike "Woody" Goettle went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2026, at his home after a long-fought battle with health issues, surrounded by his wife, son, and daughter-in-law.
Mike was born on July 17, 1950, in Minot, North Dakota, and grew up on a working family farm in Ashley, North Dakota.
Mike graduated from Ashley High School on May 29, 1967. He then went on to do many things throughout his life, including farming, ranching, serving in the United States Air Force, and working for Coca-Cola and Gwinner Oil Company. He eventually found his true passion in trucking. He bought his own truck, and the rest was history. Mike spent the majority of his trucking career with Waggoners Trucking before ending his career at Helena Ag.
Mike married Patsy Quashnick on November 22, 1969, and from that union they had two sons, John and George. He later found his travel soulmate, Jerry Dunham. Mike and Jerry were married on March 7, 1998. They made their home in Coweta, Oklahoma, where they enjoyed a lovely homestead that Mike always loved coming home to.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jerry; his previous wife, Patsy; his son, John Goettle (Jodi); sons, Justin and Gregory; son-in-law, Dane Beibto (Pam); grandchildren, Allen, Jennifer, Casey, Austen, and Keighly (George); great-grandson, Sutton; his sisters, Mary Howard and Patricia; his sisters-in-law, Viola Goettle and Lori; and several nieces and nephews whom he cared for like his own.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Bernice Goettle; his son, George; his brothers, David, Marvin, and Gerald; his sister-in-law, Barbara; and his nephew, Pete.
The family would like to thank everyone for their continued care, support, and prayers for Mike over the last couple of years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners or St. Jude Children's Hospital in Mike's memory.
There are no services are planned for Mike. He was laid to rest at Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, Oklahoma.
