Norma Dean Louvier

Norma Dean Louvier, age 91, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, July 19, 2026 at Cherokee County Nursing Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Norma was born on March 7, 1935, in Drumright, Oklahoma, to Norman and Violet Juanita (Gelushia) Cartwright. She spent her life caring for others, a calling she faithfully fulfilled during her 45-year career as an Intensive Care Technician at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital. Her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit touched countless lives throughout the years.

On January 22, 2017, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen Louvier. Together they built a family that remained the center of Norma's life. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and the many generations of family that followed.

Norma enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved scrapbooking and preserving treasured family memories, traveling whenever she had the opportunity, and spending time at Grand Lake. She had a special fondness for collecting teapots. Her family will remember her warm heart, kind smile, and the love she shared so freely.

She is survived by her children, Renee Lewis and husband Frank of Lost City, Oklahoma, Mac McClary and wife Nuchanart of Caney, Kansas, Earlene Trussell of Porter, Oklahoma, Kathleen Trussell of Chouteau, Oklahoma, and Dennis Louvier and wife Tina of Coweta, Oklahoma; her sister, Barbara Eads; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Violet Juanita Cartwright; her husband, Allen Louvier; her son-in-laws, David Trussell, and Ronnie Trussell; her brother, Jimmy Cartwright; her grandson, Johnny Earl Trussell and the father of her children Earl Embler McClary.

When you hear thunder, think of Norma, and her beloved Allen, the love of her life, who will be dancing in heaven to Cajun music. Remember her legacy of kindness, devotion to her family, and lifetime of caring for others that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Brown's Funeral Service in Coweta, Oklahoma. Following the visitation, she will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
