Pamula Leann Hoover, affectionately known as Pam, passed away peacefully at her home in Coweta, OK, on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the age of 61. She was born on December 12, 1963, in Oklahoma City, OK to George William and Eleanor Rose (Hise) Kirkley. Pam's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
Pam was a proud graduate of Tishomingo High School and carried her academic enthusiasm to Southern Nazarene University, earning a master's degree in special education studies. Her dedication to education led her to a fulfilling career as a teacher at Tulsa Public Schools, where she shaped young minds for 26 years. Pam's commitment to student success was further exemplified in her role as dean of students at Tulsa MET Education.
Beyond her professional achievements, Pam's personal life was filled with joy and companionship. She married the love of her life, Brian Kent Hoover, on March 7, 2020, and together they created a home filled with laughter and love. Pam's heart was especially full when she spent time with her children, cherishing every moment as a precious gift.
Pam's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She was an avid traveler, always ready for a new adventure and the opportunity to create lasting memories. A fan of college basketball, she could often be found cheering on her favorite teams with enthusiasm. Pam also had a unique hobby of collecting Yoda memorabilia, which brought a touch of whimsy to her life. Her talent for storytelling kept her family and friends entertained and will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of listening.
Pam's legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Brian Hoover, of Coweta, OK; her father, George Kirkley of Wagoner, OK; her sons, Sam Bressler and wife Rachel of Broken Arrow, OK, and Seth Bressler of Tulsa, OK; her stepsons, Dakota Hoover of Oklahoma City, OK, and Chris Hoover and wife Clarissa of Broken Arrow, OK; her brother, Doug Kirkley and wife Gina of Coweta, OK; her cherished grandson, Elijah Bressler; her cherished granddaughter, Sophia Hoover; her nephews, Jackson Kirkley and wife Adria, and Mitch Kirkley; and her great-nephews, Louis and Benjamin Kirkley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Rose Kirkley.
Pam’s life was a beacon of kindness, education, and family values. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide those she touched. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the many lives she impacted throughout her journey.
A memorial service to celebrate Pam's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK.
