Broken Arrow

Patsy Sue Hutchins, age 84, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Patsy was born on August 24, 1941, in Stuart, Oklahoma, to Marion Martin and Ruth (Trimm) Martin. She attended Stuart Schools and later married the love of her life, Charles Lee Hutchins, on August 23, 1958. Together they built a loving home and family that remained the center of her life.

Patsy dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She was a devoted homemaker and also served as a school bus driver for Broken Arrow Public Schools, where she enjoyed working with children and being part of the community.

Patsy loved spending time with people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and being surrounded by family and friends. Patsy had a love for music and spent many happy hours playing in her younger years. She also enjoyed volleyball and remained active in the game for many years, carrying her competitive spirit and love of people wherever she went. Her warm personality, kind heart, and welcoming nature made her a joy to be around, and she had a special gift for making others feel like family. If you looked up hospitality in the dictionary, you would see a picture of Patsy.

More than anything, Patsy cherished her family. She found great happiness in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was proud of each of them.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Hutchins and wife Kim of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Greg Hutchins and wife Sherri of Haskell, Oklahoma, and Kevin Hutchins and wife Kelli of Coweta, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Randy Reichardt, Ryan Reichardt and wife Julie, Kandice Brians, Joshua Hutchins, Kalynn Rush and husband Jon, and Hailey Hutchins; her great-grandchildren, Mia Massey, Lorelei Rush, Aliya Rush, Brixton Brians, and Brooklyn Reichardt; her siblings, Katherine Moody, Roy Martin, Jim Martin, Jody Vandiveer, and Cilla Cook; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Hutchins; her parents, Marion and Ruth Martin; and her brothers, David Martin and Don Martin.

A memorial service celebrating Patsy's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Coweta Assembly in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Pastor Steve Lee officiating.
