He had a passion for the outdoors, which was reflected in the care he took of his horses, Scooter and Star, and the joy he found in working with his Kubota tractor. His love for gardening was no secret, as he tended a huge garden, raising watermelons. Phil also found relaxation in playing golf and cherished the companionship of his beloved dogs, Nellie, Ransom, and Samson.
Phil's personal life was filled with love and companionship. He was blessed with a loving family, including his wife of 21 years, Carol Ward, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond since their marriage on October 28, 2003. Phil was also a man of faith, a generous Christian who was not shy about sharing his beliefs with others. He loved his Lord and Savior and was an active member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, where he found great comfort and community.
Phil was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Ward, and his mother, Lorene Ward. His memory will be carried on by his wife, Carol Ward, his children, grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Samson, all of whom will miss him dearly.
