Phillip Martel Eyres

Phillip Martel Eyres, age 63, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Phillip was born on August 22, 1962, in El Cajon, California, to Stanley Phillip Eyres and Madeline Lorenza (Fox) Eyres. He was raised in California, where he graduated from El Cajon High School.

On April 2, 1979, Phillip married the love of his life, Brenda Lois (Singletary) Eyres.

Phillip spent 27 years working as a dedicated truck driver for Combined Transport Company. He was known for his strong work ethic and his love for the open road, a career that suited his independent spirit and passion for driving.

Outside of work, Phillip enjoyed working on motorcycles, fixing things, and staying busy with hands-on projects. He had a natural mechanical ability and took pride in figuring things out and making them work. More than anything, he simply loved driving and being on the move.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Eyres of Coweta, Oklahoma; five sisters, Mary Henman and husband Jace of Laurel, Montana, Valerie Eyres of Seattle, Washington, DeeDee Escalante of Vista, California, Lloydene Tinker of Vista, California, and Shermaine Eyres of Seattle, Washington; one brother, Paul Lederman and wife Teri of Boulevard, California; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Phillip Eyres and Madeline Lorenza Eyres and two brothers, John Lederman and Matt Lederman.
