Renita Carol Jackson was born on October 19, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the beautiful baby girl of Isadore and Delma Pipes. She went to her heavenly home on November 3, 2025, after 74 years of a well lived life.
Renita began her early education while living with her great-aunt, Ludora Herndon, in Porter, OK, and Kansas City, MO. When she was 8 years old, she joined First Baptist Church in Leavenworth, KS. She grew up in Denver, CO and graduated from East Denver High School.
She married Jerome Jackson who served in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany. Together they traveled extensively across Europe taking in the wonderful sights, while raising three children — Kevin, Angela, and Christine. Next, he was stationed in Florida, and the family moved back to the states. Jerome retired after 25 years of military service, and they made Houston, TX their home where the children grew up and graduated from high school.
Renita moved home to Redbird, OK in 2016, after the death of her second husband. She worked for Walmart in Coweta until she was able to serve the community as a substitute teacher at Porter Public Schools. Renita enjoyed sewing in her pastime.
Renita’s father preceded her in death. She leaves behind her three children, thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving mother, Delma Smith; her sister, Edna V. Davis; in addition to nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends and other family members.
Those who were close to Renita will miss her loving smiling face and her memory will continue to live on in their hearts.
