Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Trussell

Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Trussell, age 66, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Ronnie was born on March 24, 1960, in Longview, Texas, to Johnny Marlin Trussell and Mary Ellen (McGrew) Hall. He attended East Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ronnie dedicated over 30 years of his life to Cox Communications, where he worked as an installer, line technician, and supervisor. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and leadership. Ronnie took pride in providing for his family and in the work he accomplished throughout his career.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Inola, Oklahoma. In his free time, Ronnie enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting, and spending time outdoors. One of his greatest joys was walking his dog, Hershey, and simply being with his family. Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who deeply loved those closest to him.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen “Kathy” Trussell of the home; his daughter, Amie Shaw; his son, Cameron Trussell; his granddaughters, Abigail Shaw and Dana Shaw; his sister, Terri Trussell-Sitler; his brother, Mike Trussell; his mother-in-law, Norma Louvier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Hall; his father, Johnny Marlin Trussell; his son, Johnny Trussell; and his brother, David Trussell.

Ronnie will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for his family, and the simple joys he found in life. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, strength, and love that will not be forgotten.
