Rosie Mae Byerlee, age 86, resident of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, July 10, 2021 at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Riverside, California. Rosie was born on January 6, 1935 in Pampa, Texas and was the daughter of Leo Henry and Ina Mae (Pruitt) Duckworth. She married the love of her life, Ralph Eugene Byerlee on July 28, 1951 in Courtside, Arizona. She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. Rosie was a member of Thomas Community Church in Broken Arrow. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and antiques. Family meant everything to her, and her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. Although, the most important thing to Rosie was her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Rosie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ralph Eugene Byerlee of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her daughter, Vicky Lynn Busanovitch and husband Robert of Corona, California; her son, Ralph Gene Byerlee and wife Ronalyn of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her brother, Jack Tillman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jason Busanovitch and wife Christen, Jamie Lyn Byerlee and companion Serkan Turkmen, Corey Busanovitch and wife Krista, Joshua Byerlee, and Rebecca Vance and husband Danny; ten great grandchildren, Blake Busanovitch, Benjamin Byerlee, Camon Amini, Kylie Busanovitch, Cara Busanovitch, Trenton Byerlee, Braxton Byerlee, Gaven Byerlee, Ezekiel Vance, and Ezra Vance; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Henry and Ina Mae Duckworth; her brother, Joe Tillman; her sister, Joyce Barnett; and her granddaughter, Nicole Byerlee.
Services celebrating Rosie’s life will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Thomas Community Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Pastor Don Couch officiating. She will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
