Obituary

Sandra “Gayle” Foster, age 79, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday morning, June 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Gayle was born on June 10, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jewel Clifford “J.C.” Pyle and Edna Lucile Spurlock. She graduated from North High School in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1965 and attended beauty school in Tulsa.

On November 26, 1966, Gayle married the love of her life, Ronald William Foster, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others, sharing nearly sixty years of marriage.

Gayle enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a beautician, spending more than forty years helping others look and feel their best. She also worked as a bank teller at First National Bank. Through every season of life, she was known for her caring heart, warm smile, and genuine kindness.

A faithful member of the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy, Gayle loved serving her church family. She especially enjoyed teaching senior adults and sharing her faith with those around her. Her relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her life and was evident in the way she cared for others.

Gayle found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved cooking, gardening, mowing the yard, fishing, painting, sewing, and all types of creative projects. She was especially gifted as an artist and enjoyed both painting and teaching painting to others. She also dearly loved her dog, Cody.

More than anything, Gayle treasured time spent with her family. Her greatest joy came from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved gathering with those she cherished and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald “Ronny” Foster; her children, Tod Foster and wife Sandy, Chad Foster, and Jodie Keel and husband Calvin; her grandchildren, Brooke Sowers and husband Bruce, Seth Foster and wife Brandy, Joshua Foster, Hunter Foster and Ryann, Cambrie Keel, Annie Keel, and Joel Keel; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Sowers, Charlee Sowers, Ryanne Foster, Penelope Foster, Caralynn Foster, Bellamy Foster, and Beaux Foster; her sister, Traci Kirk and husband Mike; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel Clifford “J.C.” Pyle and Edna Lucile Spurlock.

Gayle will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant’s heart, her creativity, and the love she shared with everyone she met. Her gentle spirit and kind influence will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service celebrating Gayle’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Pastor Matt Rowell officiating.
