Sandra Kaye “Sandy” Gress, age 71, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at her home in Broken Arrow. She was born on January 29, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana, to Laurence “Larry” Savage and Beatrice “Betty” (McKrill) Savage.

Sandy spent many years working hard and providing for her family. She was employed with Tulsat in Broken Arrow for approximately 30 years, where she worked in the warehouse with electronic connectors. Over the years, she formed many friendships through her work and was known for her friendly and outgoing personality.

Sandy was a people person through and through. She loved everyone and truly never met a stranger. She had a way of making conversation wherever she went and enjoyed being around people. She loved shopping, especially searching for treasures at thrift stores, browsing Amazon, and shopping for jewelry. Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year, and she enjoyed everything that came along with the season. She also loved her coffee and Diet Pepsi.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Sandy attended Life.Church in Broken Arrow and volunteered with LifeKids, where she enjoyed spending time with and helping children. Her caring nature and love for others were evident in the way she gave her time and made those around her feel welcome.

More than anything, Sandy loved her family. Her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought tremendous happiness to her life, and the time she spent with them created memories that will forever be treasured. Sandy will be remembered for her outgoing personality, her love of people, and the joy she found in the simple things she loved most.

Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Amanda Johnson and husband Jimmie, and Lauren Wiley and husband Hank; her grandchildren, Gunner Johnson, Gage Johnson, Hunter Archer, Tanner Archer, Michael Wiley, William Wiley, Hailey Parker and husband Preston, and Makala Stafford and husband Kobe; her great-grandchildren, Claire and Ava; her sister, Penny Caton; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Betty Savage, her nephew, Anthony Drahos, and her great niece, Cassidy Drahos.

Sandy’s life was filled with family, faith, friendships, and a genuine love for people. Those who knew her will remember a woman who could talk to anyone, never met a stranger, and found happiness in being surrounded by the people she loved.

A memorial service celebrating Sandy’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Life.Church Broken Arrow, 2420 E. Kenosha Street, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74014 with Pastor Bryan Hill officiating.
