Sandra Joe Neal, age 72, resident of Coweta, OK, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, July 10, 2025, at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. She was born on January 6, 1953, in Muskogee, OK to parents Delbert and Helen Marie (Carn) Enkey. Sandra's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the simple joys that make a life well-lived.
A proud graduate of Haskell High School's class of 1972, Sandra carried the values of her education throughout her life. She found her calling in the heart of her home, dedicating herself as a devoted homemaker. Her hands, always busy, created a warm and welcoming place that stood as a testament to her care and attention to detail.
Sandra's life was one of connection and joy. She married her soulmate, Raymond Edward Neal, on December 22, 1972, and together they built a life filled with laughter and love. Her passion for planting flowers and gardening was evident in the vibrant colors that surrounded her home, a reflection of the beauty she nurtured in the world. Sandra's love for playing bingo, fishing, reading, and watching Hallmark movies brought her immense pleasure and provided countless hours of entertainment and relaxation.
Her family was the cornerstone of her existence. Sandra's legacy lives on through her son-in-law Jerry Erwin, grandchildren, Justin Erwin and his fiancée Kaylea Conley of Haskell, OK, and Austin Erwin of Haskell, OK; her great-grandchildren, Bethany and Joseph Erwin; her brother, Delbert Enkey of Haskell, OK; her sister, Patsy Wickson of Tulsa, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Sandra's journey through life was marked by the bonds she formed and the lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Edward Neal, her daughter, Pamela Erwin, her parents, her sisters, Beverly Durossette and Judy Moats, and her brother, Gary Enkey.
Sandra’s journey on earth may have concluded, but the seeds of love she planted in the hearts of those who knew her will continue to bloom for generations to come.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK.
