Susan Ann "Sue" Smith

Susan Ann "Sue" Smith, age 74, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Sue was born on October 18, 1951, in Montrose, Colorado, to Arvin Homer Wright and Francis Elizabeth (Roweton) Wright. She married the love of her life, Klon Smith, on June 13, 1992, in Liberal, Kansas. Together they shared 34 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Sue devoted her life to caring for others. She worked in sales before spending 15 years as a nurse's aide at Oklahoma Surgical Hospital and Hillcrest Medical Center. Her compassion, kindness, and servant's heart made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and their families.

She found joy in the simple things that made life beautiful. Sue loved collecting Ty Plushies and enjoyed knitting. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family. Whether sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply being together, her greatest happiness came from those she loved. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and caring heart will be remembered by all who knew her.

Sue is survived by her loving husband, Klon Smith of Coweta; her children, Dallas Hill and husband Kenneth of Owasso, Shane Jensen and wife Crystal of Arkansas, Aubra Kimberly and husband Randy of Liberal, KS, Trey Smith of Broken Arrow; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Tom Wright of Pueblo, CO, and Jim Wright and wife, Jacki of Montrose, CO; her sister, Sherry Baldwin of Grand Junction, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvin Homer Wright and Francis Elizabeth Wright.

A Celebration of Life Service for Sue will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Chaplain Roy Betz officiating.
