Tabitha Laverne Braden passed away on August 14, 2026, and has once again been reunited with her mother, Wanda Braden, who preceded her in death. She was born on February 3, 1982, in Coweta, Oklahoma, to Wanda and Veodis Braden of Coweta, Oklahoma.

Tabitha was full of life and worked as a pediatric nurse. She loved children, and the children loved her right back. She will be remembered as a strong-willed, opinionated woman who was a hard shell to crack, but once it was cracked, she was a soft, loving person—just a good-hearted person all around.

She is survived by her dad, Veodis Braden of Coweta, Oklahoma; sister, Camisha Braden of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother, Marcus Braden of Coweta, Oklahoma; nieces, Shanice Braden of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Essence Morrow of Tulsa, Oklahoma; great-nieces, Ky’Lynn Braden and Kay’Lanie Scott; and great-nephews, Kamrey Braden and Kamari Braden. She will always be remembered as their “Tabs.” She is also survived by Erma Jenkins, aka her cousin/best friend; her uncles, Nathaniel Braden of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Odis Braden (Melva Gordon) of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and Ardell Braden (Audrey Braden) of Taft, Oklahoma; aunts, Aretha Hildreth of Coweta, Oklahoma and Ethel Brooks of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; along with a host of cousins.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coweta, Oklahoma. Services celebrating Tabitha’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.
