Virgil S. "Junior" Quinalty, age 84, resident of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, July 31, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on December 9, 1940, in Seminole, OK to Virgil Enoch and Mary Ida (Bowen) Quinalty. Junior's life was a testament to his unwavering love for his family, his country, and his faith.

Junior grew up in a close-knit family and carried those values throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of Wichita West High School, class of 1959. His sense of duty led him to serve in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965, and he continued his commitment to service in the Army Reserves during the same period. After his military service, Junior dedicated 41 years to Yuba Heat Transfer as an assemblyman, retiring in 2001. Even in retirement, he continued to work, driving for CAPPS Rental for 17 years.

On April 22, 1967, Junior married the love of his life, Catherine "Cathy" L. Riddle, at Bible Baptist Temple in Tulsa, OK. Their union was blessed with love, laughter, and a beautiful family. Junior is survived by his children, Ronnie Quinalty and wife Kim of Skiatook, OK, Robert Quinalty and wife Stephanie of Catoosa, OK, and Christy Evans and husband Doug of Coweta, OK; five grandchildren, Brittany Tilley and husband Billy, Alyssa Cypert and husband Bryce, Aaron Quinalty, Dakota Evans, and Savannah Evans; four great-grandchildren, Avery Tilley, Baylen Tilley, Brooks Cypert, and Baylor Quinalty; his siblings, Ed Quinalty and wife Charma of Wichita, KS, Janice Galloway and husband Don of Lone Tree, CO, and Paulett Lemaster and husband Joe of Turley, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Junior was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathy L. Quinalty, and his parents, Virgil Enoch and Mary Ida Quinalty.

A man of faith, Junior loved Jesus with all his heart. He was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan, affectionately referring to them as "The Thunders." His presence at his grandchildren's activities was a source of joy for him and for them. Known as "The Street Boss" by his neighbors, Junior's sense of community and leadership was felt by all who knew him.
