Virginia "Gennie" Elaine Booth, age 76, lifelong resident of Coweta, OK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, December 17, 2025, at Aspen Health & Rehab Center in Broken Arrow, OK. She was born on October 18, 1949, in Coweta, OK to William Alton and Virgie Marie (Murray) Booth. Gennie's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her throughout her life.
Gennie was a proud graduate of Coweta High School, class of 1969, and she carried the spirit of her hometown with her always. Her dedication to her career was evident to all who worked with her during her tenure as a floor manager at Aaon Heating & Cooling Products, from which she retired in 2000 after several years of service.
Beyond her professional life, Gennie was a woman of many passions. She found joy in the simplicity of arts and crafts, where her creativity knew no bounds. Fishing was another of Gennie's favorite pastimes. Gennie enjoyed attending the First Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK, where she found a community of faith that supported her and enriched her life.
Gennie is survived by her sons, Buddy Bowers, of Haskell, OK, and Daniel Keith Bowers; her grandchildren, Brandy Clemons and husband Cole, Joseph Lynn Bowers, and Emily Bowers; her cherished great-grandchildren, Mya, Paisley, and Kayson Clemons; her sisters, Sandy Lantroop, Brenda August, Hope Nunley, Rena Abel and husband Tom, and Sherry Holman and husband Vince, all of Coweta, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William Alton and Virgie Marie Booth, her brother, Lynn Booth, and her sister, Kathy Hill.
Gennie leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her gentle smile, her unwavering kindness, and her enduring love for her family will be deeply missed, but the impact she made on this world will continue to resonate for generations to come.
Visitation for Gennie will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Brown's Funeral Service in Coweta, OK. A service celebrating her life will take place at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Pastor Darrin Wright officiating and Pastor Luke Tramel assisting.
