William Leon Miller

William Leon Miller of Coweta passed away on Monday, March 19, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Broken Arrow. He was 82 years old. Leon was born on February 10, 1925 in Welch, Oklahoma to William Edward and Willie (Kerr) Miller. He received his education and graduated from high school in the Ramona, Oklahoma school system. He and Lucille Pursky were united in marriage on January 18, 1956 in Arkansas. Leon worked as a self-employed fence builder. His hobbies included coon hunting and playing dominos. He also enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Leon William Miller and his wife, Jan, of Coweta; one daughter, Mellisa Harris of Broken Arrow; three brothers, George Miller of Beggs, Oklahoma, Gene Miller of Montrose, Colorado, and Floyd Miller of Ramona, Oklahoma; one sister, Edna Meikle of Wichita, Kansas; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister. No services are planned for Leon. Arrangements are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta.
