Wilma Fern Beller, age 89, resident of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 20, 2026, at her home in Broken Arrow, OK.
Wilma was born on June 19, 1936, in Wagoner County, OK, to James Roscoe Wheeler and Ora Mae (Moreland) Wheeler. She was raised in the Coweta area and attended Coweta Public Schools.
On April 17, 1954, Wilma married the love of her life, Johnnie R. Beller, in Broken Arrow, OK. Together they shared 71 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion to one another.
Wilma was a dedicated homemaker and also worked outside the home throughout her life. She was employed at Frankoma Pottery, and later retired from Hillcrest Medical Center, where she worked in the cashier’s department. No matter where she worked, Wilma was known for her reliability, kindness, and strong work ethic.
In her free time, Wilma found great joy in the simple things she loved most. She was talented in embroidery and sewing, taking pride in her work as a skilled seamstress. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, gardening, and especially camping with her family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Wilma’s love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her home was always a place of warmth and care.
Wilma is survived by her loving husband, Johnnie R. Beller of Broken Arrow, OK; her children, Keith Beller and wife Patti of Coweta, OK, Patty Coggins of Sapulpa, OK, and Pam Brummett and husband Corky of Sapulpa, OK; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Verna Young and Sue Hembree, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Roscoe Wheeler and Ora Mae Wheeler; and her siblings, Naoma Marshall, Anna Mae Kirkland, Lola Jackson, Maxine Merrel, James Wheeler, J.D. Wheeler, Carl Wheeler, Owen Wheeler, Raymond Wheeler, and Harlan Wheeler.
Wilma will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coweta, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Coweta, OK, with Pastor Darin Beller officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
