Barbara Eichorn Obituary

Barbara Jean (Waldon) Eichorn, age 90, resident of Collinsville, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, July 28, 2022 at Forest Hills Care and Rehab Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Barbara was born on March 5, 1932 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Burney Douglas and Effie (Reed) Waldon.  She attended Chilocco Indian School in Arkansas City, Oklahoma.  Barbara attended nursing school and then joined the United States Air Force where she retired after 20 years as a Lieutenant Colonel.  She married Robert Peter Eichorn on July 23,1988 in Harris County, Texas. Barbara enjoyed golfing, traveling, cooking, but most of all she loved to have a good time.

Barbara is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Waldon of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Burney Douglas Waldon of Kansas City, Missouri, and Noel Allen Waldon and wife Marilyn of Wilmington, North Carolina; her sister, Julia Carnes of Collinsville, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Peter Eichorn, her parents Burney and Effie Waldon, and two brothers, Hosea E. Waldon and Benjamin Anthony Waldon.

Graveside services celebrating Barbara’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
