Barbara Ann (Stanfill) McElhaney

Barbara Ann McElhaney, age 72, resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma departed this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  Barbara was born on July 10, 1949 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Robert Victor Stanfill and Edna Mae (Redfearn) Stanfill.  She was a cashier for Wal-Mart for over ten years.  Barbara enjoyed fishing, going to the lake, playing bingo, and watching television. 

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Candi Russell; two granddaughters, Tabytha Russell and Allyssa Russell and Scott Yandell; two sisters, Dixie Elsey and her husband Wade Carter of Grove, Oklahoma and Machelle Rouse and her husband Christopher of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; her brother, Bobby Stanfill and his wife Zandra of Braggs, Oklahoma; her nephews, Robert Lockwood and his wife Tiffany, and Chase Stanfill; her nieces, Kayla Hendricks and her husband Stephen, Angela Chard and her husband Scott, Amanda Lovelace and her husband Dylan, Angelyn Dupwe, Kaitlyn McElhaney, Cidaly Dupwe, and Kristi Arreola; and numerous other relatives and friends. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Victor Stanfill and Edna Mae Stanfill McElhaney, her sister, Dianna Hufford, and three nieces, Shawna Mitchell, Natasha Elsey, and Heather Mitchell.

Services celebrating Barbara’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with the Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
