Bobby Joe Lopp

Bobby Joe Lopp, age 76, resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, August 10, 2020 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Bobby was born on March 11, 1944 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was the son of Robert Quinton “Bob” and Mary (Edwards) Lopp.  He was raised in Haskell, Oklahoma and attended Haskell schools.  Bobby married the love of his life, Jackie Kaye Fowler on April 11, 1969 in Haskell, Oklahoma, and they were blessed with three sons.  He worked as a truck driver most of his life until he retired in 2007, working mainly for J.B. Hunt Transportation Services.  At an early age, Bobby also worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Bobby was a man of faith and right up until the end, he loved it when people would pray with him.

Bobby is survived by 2 sons, Jackie Lee Lopp and wife Julie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Johnny Ray Lopp and wife Susan of Axton, Virginia; 1 brother, Steve Lopp and wife Diane of Haskell, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Anna Lou Sosenko and husband James of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Susan Brown and husband, Bill of Coweta, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his uncle, Buster Edwards of Tooele, Utah; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Kaye Lopp; his parents, Robert Quinton “Bob” and Louise Lopp and Mary Parrish; his son, Bobby Dewayne Lopp; his brother, J.B. Lopp; his sister, Joyce Pearson; and his great granddaughter, Hannah Cousins.

Viewing will be from 2:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home.  Services celebrating Bobby’s life will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 14, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Bobby will be laid to rest at Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, Oklahoma.
