Clifford Ray Mills

Clifford Ray Mills, age 84, resident of Broken Arrow went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 26, 2021 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Ray was born on May 13, 1936 in Bristow, Oklahoma and he was the son of William E. and Chloe Marie (Wilson) Mills.  He married the love of his life, Arleta Fay Todd on May 20, 1954 in Bristow, Oklahoma, and they were blessed with two children, Karen and Doug.  Ray was a lead painter at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa for 27 years until he retired.  He was a member of the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy.  In Ray’s younger years, he enjoyed horses and chickens.  He also enjoyed tinkering with tractors and cars, and he loved spending time with his family.  Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, Fay Mills of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his daughter, Karen Stewart and husband David of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his son, Douglas Ray Mills and wife Carolyn of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Charles Mills and wife Nona of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Orville Lee Mills of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Chloe Marie Mills; and one brother, Stanley “Corkey” Mills.

A memorial service celebrating Ray’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating.
