Coleen Nadean (Plunk) Hewitt

Coleen Nadean Hewitt, 87, resident of Porter, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at her residence in Porter, Oklahoma.  Coleen was born on May 21, 1934 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma to Ancle Oric and Lilly Mary (Keller) Plunk.  Coleen married the love of her life, Jack Leon Hewitt in June of 1955 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  She was a selfless woman and loved to care for others at their time of need.  Coleen loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed her dogs, going to garage sales, and shopping. 

Coleen is survived by her three children, Wilma Smith of Porter, Oklahoma, Linda Justice of Porter, Oklahoma, and Jackie Hewitt and his wife Diane of Porter, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Rachael Lakey, Sarah Moghal, Laura Duvall, Jenifer Hamma, and Jamie Shepherd; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Coleen was preceded in death by her parents, Ancle Oric and Lilly Mary Plunk, her husband, Jack Leon Hewitt, her daughter, Sharlett Hewitt, her grandson, Daniel Smith, one sister, and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Coleen’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with the Rev. Bill Clinton officiating.  Coleen will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Pallbearers are Ed Hewitt, Lee Johnson, Joe Giem, Jeff Brown, Daniel Smith, and Jack Smith.
