Cornelia M. Wallace

Cornelia M. Wallace, age 97, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, January 30, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Cornelia was born July 29, 1923 in Council Hill, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Onie Levi and Milinda (Johnson) Finnigan.  She was a 1943 graduate of Coweta High School. Cornelia married the love of her life, Roy Otwell Wallace on December 2, 1948   She was a nurse technician at St. John Medical Center for many years until she retired.  Cornelia was a member of the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting and crocheting. 

Cornelia is survived by four children, Larry Wallace of Mannford, Oklahoma, Linda Harris of Grove, Oklahoma, Everette Wallace and his wife Lynn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Mary Buckner and her husband Bill of Coweta, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Cornelia was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Otwell Wallace; her parents, Onie Levi and Milinda Finnigan; one brother; five sisters; and a daughter-in-law.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta.  Services celebrating Cornelia’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, Oklahoma with Jeremy Harris and Miles Harris officiating.  Cornelia will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
