Darla S. Walker

Darla S. Walker, age 71, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, July 24, 2022 at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Darla was born on April 24, 1951 in Turley, Oklahoma to T. Lloyd Lowery and Beulah (Beach) Lowery.  She was a 1969 graduate of Sapulpa High School in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  Darla married the love of her life, Lawrence O. Walker on June 15, 1979 in Miami, Oklahoma.  She was a secretary at Lowery Air Conditioning for several years and she also cleaned houses.  Darla enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, Lawrence.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Darla is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lawrence O. Walker of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; four daughters, Jennifer Shadbolt and her husband Scott of Owasso, Oklahoma, Kimberly Goodnight and her husband Derrick of Coweta, Oklahoma, Tonia May and her husband Michael of McKinney, Texas, and Rachael Shipley and her husband Clint of Derby, Kansas; six grandchildren, Colton Riley, Joshua Matthews, Natalie Matthews, Connor May, Campbell May, and Chloe May; one sister, Shirley Smith; one brother, John Lowery; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents, T. Lloyd and Beulah Lowery and ten siblings, Norma June Kirkwood, Gene Lowery, Nancy Hills, Marie Dupus, Willie Lowery, Joy Kirkwood, Madelynn Lowery, Jerry Lowery, Bobby Lowery, and David Lowery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  Services celebrating Darla’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Darla will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
